Introduction

Designed by Jean Cocteau, and engraved by Albert Decaris, this Marianne with Flag most clearly shows the personal flair of the artist.

It was the first French definitive printed on the new TD-6 press, capable of printing six colors in one pass, and had to be slightly taller (23mm instead of 21mm) than previous stamps to accommodate larger press rollers.
